Demo Reel

Skin and Bones, my thesis film, was completed over the course of five months. The story follows two young children as they summon a demon, are cursed by this demon, and must gather ingredients for a cure before school starts. The film is meant to be the intro cutscene to a videogame. Music by mjanetmars.

Chimera is a superhero story that was completed over the course of 4 months in 2023. I created a short comic book, Sooky Byun animated a trailer, and Arianna Bazan rendered all interiors.

Chimera's suit includes two vials: the green serum transforms a body part into that of an animal's, and the yellow serum lessens the physical and mental shock of the transformation. On her left wrist is a device that can shoot the antidote into the hybrids. The pouches on her waist hold additional serums. Her suit features openings on the upper back and tailbone to make room for harpy eagle wings and a howler monkey tail. Her feet are bandaged for protection and to allow more room for transformations. Her braid doubles as a weapon and a tool to hide her secret identity.Animal parts she can gain are those of a jellyfish, a pit viper, a chameleon, a vampire bat, an armadillo, a howler monkey, a harpy eagle, and a jaguar.

While Heather created concept sketches, I worked on the official line ups (below). One (top) for promotional material and in-game moments that weren't playable, such as the title screen and cutscene, and the other (bottom) for easier animation and playable levels.

These animated sprites correspond to each key the player presses during the level. From left to right, they are the idle, A, S, D, and F animations. They were drawn in Procreate and animated in Adobe After Effects.
